Exploring Collage

Recently I have had opportunities to teach. When I was a kiddo I didn't have much access to art education. All i knew was that you could draw with pencil and marker and somewhere out their "real" artist painted. With this in mind my goal was to introduce the young people I work with to all the different types of art and mediums that are available. One of the art forms I introduced the students to in class was collage. I was so nervous about this medium. I thought it would limit  my creativity, be cumbersome, and messy. I was totally surprised. I fell in love with mixed media collage. It allowed me to bring ideas to alive that I alway imagined but did not have the patience or skill to create. Here are some of my latest experiments.
